"Speed"!! Without a doubt, SPEED, is the single most important aspect of sports. Many believe that speed is God given and you either have it, or you do not. The basis of this statement may have some validity because you are either wired for speed or you are not. The unknown truth is that most athletes only run at 60% of their God given potential. Through proper movement, MSA, continually enhances the ability for each athlete to run closer to their potential. There are many ways to increase this potential and close the gap on your full potential. Unfortunately, there are very few programs or trainers that understand the biomechanics of movement and the proven progression to running mechanics. Many programs and trainers focus on strength and conditioning with younger athletes and skip the steps of mechanical progression that will enhance an athletes potential for life. MSA focuses on the biomechanical movements of speed which enhances the athletes ability as they develope strength and power throughout their carreer.
The Heart of a Champion is a precious attribute that all Champions posses. The underlying factors are consistent amoungst all that dare to be great! It's simply stated, yet difficult to endure. It's percise in it's definition, yet humbling in it's nature. It's the most courable act that all Champions must embrace.
"HEART of a Champion"
Willingness to take risks to improve, even in the face of potential failure; the courage to go all out and discover your capability at the moment; the freedom to lose, learn from it, and forge ahead; playing with fearlessness, tenacity, and audacity; being bold as you look at your opponents and dare them to match your intensity.
For more than 20 years I have had the opportunity to work with many incredible young athletes. They didn't always see themselves as special. They needed a mentor to open their eyes to their potential. Through thousands of hours training and endless days committing to the process, many reached athletic greatness. I feel the process of excellence is of the utmost importance. The athletes I trained understood that greatness is achieved through the process not the end result. The end result was only the culmination of the process. I have learned as much from those athletes as they have from me. I've learned that the mind and body can achieve more that we give it credit for. When someone truly commits to an achievement, the end result is "GREATNESS'. When reaching greatness, we always found that the process was the real means to the end. I have always taught my athletes to concentrate on the task at hand. Each small step puts them that much closer to their goal. "Greatness cannot be achieved alone". For me, that meant that I needed someone willing to consistently work day in and day out towards the goal. It takes endless hours of hard work and determination, and most important, always learning to "Fail Forward". This has been my mantra for many years now. Every great person or athlete has to fail over and over many times before they can achieve their goal. Ignorance is when they don't learn from their failures, to fail forward is to learn from each failure and attempt to not make the same mistake over again. The "Process", develops us as individuals with confidence, pride, and conviction to achieve our best. Life is a process that we take on every day. We have the ability to start each day the way we want. We can choose to have a poor attitudes or great attitude! That is our choice. "Greatness" is achieved by having a great attitude! So, ask yourself! Do I want to be mediocre or do I want to be Great! If it's the latter, then get an "Attitude".
